Grief matters. Join me.

Writing is a salve and an astringent. It both soothes and clarifies. I lost my oldest son, Elliot, my supernova, in a single-vehicle motorcycle incident five years ago. He was just 26. I write about grief to make sense of my radically rearranged reality, to find some morsel of meaning—and to help others suffering in the darkest of chasms feel less alone. I am still writing my narrative arc because I am still living it. Yet, with every word and every unexpected epiphany, I discover—there are no limits to our stories. That is why I am here. I substack, blog, engage in online grief groups and have contributed my essays and poems to several books on grief. Join me on the journey here and on ElaineGantzWright.com.
